Peach Cobbler

After so much technical baking and my own issues to solve didn’t really have the energy to make something elaborate for a friend’s birthday dinner tonight, nothing too fancy, 4-5 of us and a good meal 🙂

I’ve always wanted to make cobblers and crumbles but never got around baking any as I always got distracted with something “flashier” 😛 So here it goes, so simple but so good and somehow feels like home. Perfect comfort food also, with a big ball of icecream next to it!


70gr butter

1 cup flour

2 cups sugar

1kg of canned peaches  (without the juice it will come to 660 approx and that’s fine)

1 tsp baking powder

1 egg

1 cup of milk

1 tsp nutmeg

1tsp cinnamon

Turn oven on 180°.  Melt the butter and pour it in a 13’x9′ tray, which the regular rectangular baking tray almost everyone has. Honestly you could use any tray it would just be higher and thicker, this is more balanced I guess.

Mix flour, 1 cup of sugar, egg, milk together and pour over the butter without mixing them together.

In a bowl pour the peaches and coat them with the rest of the sugar and the spices and pour on top of the batter. Place in the oven for 45-60 minutes.

And this is what you get!


As I said just put on some ice-cream and its the bomb! 🙂
